CORPOREAL SPRING by Arlyn Labelle
Spring cedes me flowers to eat.
plucking petals as harp cords,
with teeth.
Nose powdered by pollen,
nature’s hungry clown,
White spits of skin marinate
in the sun.
A sadist god delivered,
his lambs the season, light.
Mosquitoes cling to screen
door, clouds.
