HOMAGE TO A HUMUMENT
by Keri Fitzgerald
"Homage to A Humument" is simultaneously poetry and visual art created using original and scanned book pages, scanned images, and acrylics. Fitzgerald uses an instructive text, The Ideal Woman, and a fictional one, Tess of the D’ubervilles, that characterize Victorian womanhood and give voices to women who ought to be long dead.
