SILENT RELENT by Arlyn Labelle
Smoke loves smoke.
In my mouth a cold balloon,
Thread methodically slit,
Released to clouds.
In a grey cove.
Moon watches our,
Fingers twine.
Moon watches us,
Drown them.
Unabashed,
As their eyes fill,
With sand.
We talk of salt.
We talk of drowning.
Surf lulls coral skin.
